The Founder

Silvio Del Fio, president of Del Fio Group, began dealing with the Mice technology in the Sixties. Well known and appreciated in Italy as an entrepreneur, he is considered to be one of the most authoritative experts in the national meeting industry.

Former vice president of Italcongressi (one of the Italian Mice associations), he was among the founders of the Convention Bureaus of Florence (which he had been chairing for six years), Siena and Naples. He was moreover part of the Board of Federturismo (Confindustria), the federation of the Italian tourist associations.

His background includes both surveys on congress tourism in Italy and Europe and teaching sessions by many University and management courses.
